Police forces of Nazi Germany

There were three constituents of the police forces of the Third Reich:
- Ordnungspolizei (Orpo) "regular police"
- Kriminalpolizei (Kripo) "criminal police"
- Sicherheitspolizei (Sipo) "security police"
In 1942 the Sipo and Kripo were amalgamated to form the Reichssicherheitshauptamt (RSHA).
