Polícia de Segurança Pública

The Polícia de Segurança Pública - PSP (Public Security Police) is the Portuguese police force that works in large urban areas. Rural towns and areas are under the protection of the Portuguese Republican National Guard. The PSP includes a Grupo de Operações Especiais (Special Operations Group), which is currently being deployed in East Timor. It also has a football club, with the same name.
