The Pokémon: Diamond & Pearl, the anime series that corresponds with the game series Pokémon: Diamond and & Pearl follows the adventures of Ash Ketchum throughout the Shin'ou region. The series is set to premier on September 28, 2006, alongside release of the Nintendo DS Pokémon games. The continuation of the series from Pokémon: Advanced Generation finds our hero with the loss of old friends, and the acquisition of new ones. Hikari, the protagonist female of the Pokémon Diamond & Pearl games, will be joining Ash Ketchum and Brock throughout their Shin’ou journey.

[edit] Plot Synopsis

The story follows Ash Ketchum’s journey to become a Pokémon Master in the Shin’ou region. Joining him on his journey are Pikachu, Hikari, and Brock. (more information will be posted when available.)

The characters of the Pokémon: Diamond & Pearl anime series introduces new characters, while at the same time keeping familiar faces. The characters below are the main heroes, that will be traveling with Ash Ketchum, in his continuing journey to be a Pokémon Master.

  • Ash Ketchum / Satoshi - The hero of the Pokémon series. Ash Ketchum has all the qualities one can look for in a hero; Brave, Heroic, and Loyal. While Ash at times tends to be a bit headstrong, his intentions are true, and his love for Pokémon is unrivaled. Ash has a dream to become the greatest Pokémon Master ever. His Pokémon journey to Shin'ou will test his strength, and determination in continuing his Pokémon Master journey.
  • Pikachu - In the Pokémon anime, Pikachu was Ash Ketchum's first Pokémon. Pikachu will journey with Ash to the Shin'ou region, as he aids his friend in his dream of becoming a Pokémon Master.
  • Brock / Takeshi - Former Gym Leader of the Pewter City Gym who is on a quest to become a Pokémon breeder. Brock, while a bit over ambiguous with women, has a true heart of that of friend, and stands side by side with Ash on his journey to become a Pokémon Master.
  • ??? / Hikari - The female lead to the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl anime series. (More information will be posted when it becomes available)
  • Unknown Male Lead - (More information will be posted when it becomes available).
