Pokrov (town)

Pokrov (Russian: Покров) is a town in Vladimir Oblast, Russia, located 5 km to the north of the left bank of the Klyazma River (Oka's tributary) on the 101st kilometre from Moscow on the M7 motorway. Population: 15,920 (2002).
The settlement was founded in the 17th century. It was granted town rights in 1778.
