[edit] Photo, and Nyoongar name, and whitefeller history
Is the photo really from Mosman Park?? The spit and jetty look too close - more like the view from the path along Blackwall Reach.
Point Walter had major Aboriginal significance - does anyone have the information to put in at least the name, maybe some of the story?
There's also really interesting European history - using the spit to land cargo (I think Walter Padbury was here??), and the picnics from Fremantle.

- I am quite intrigued by the number of entries in the LISWA catalogue for Point Walter, just about to dig through them (my 2 bobs worth) SatuSuro 13:36, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
- Most promising - in that Izzy Orloff and other photographers obviously used to go to picnics there from freo by the old river steamers -
the best Battye title so far is
