Point Molate Beach Park is a city-owned park in Richmond, California. The park is adjacent to the abandoned ghost town of Winehaven in the rural areas of western Richmond along the San Pablo Bay shore of the San Pablo Peninsula.
The park was the site of "geekfest" festivals sponsored by SPAM Records in the late 1990s and early 2000s. There is currently limited public access due to cleanup efforts of the adjacent former Point Molate Naval Fuel Depot which occupied the former winery/company town of Winehaven. The park is accessible by a narrow road only from the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge toll plaza exit "Western Drive".
The East Bay Regional Parks District has planned including the park and the Point Molate area in general as part of a new park in its long term projects.[1]
