Guerre 1914-1915 - POIX - Le viaduc détruit (en réparation)
Ce viaduc, construit par la Compagnie de l'Ouest en 1866 pour la ligne Rouen (Saint-Sever) - Amiens (Saint-Roch), a été détruit le 31 août 1914 par le Génie français. Les 6 arches détruites sont photographiées ici lors de leur reconstruction de 1915.
Le viaduc fut également détruit à deux reprises pendant la seconde guerre mondiale :

  • le 6 juin 1940, par le Génie français qui fit sauter les arches 4, 5 et 6. La voûte 3 fut complètement disloquée. Les voûtes 2 et 7 furent légèrement fissurées. Après l'armistice, afin de rétablir la circulation, une entreprise allemande fut chargée d'établir un pont provisoire de 80 m et composé de 4 tabliers en fer. La circulation a été rétablie de manière provisoire le 12 septembre 1940, à voie unique et avec une limitation de vitesse de 10 km/h. La réparation définitive prit 10 mois.
  • Le viaduc fut bombardé le 14 janvier 1944, endommageant la voute N°5 et interrompant à nouveau la circulation ferroviaire.

L'aspect du viaduc a été modifié par la SNCF en 1969, avec le remplacement des gardecorps en maçonneries par des barrières métalliques.
