Poetry in Motion is a UK number-one single of 1961 by Johnny Tillotson. The song also made the top 5 in his native USA. Though his fame in the UK quickly dried up after a few lesser hits, he was considerably more successful in the states, scoring more than 20 hit titles and earning a Grammy Award nomination for "It Keeps Right On a-Hurtin".
