[edit] Today

It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FK Budućnost Podgorica. It also serves as a venue for games that other Montenegrin teams play in European competitions, as it is the only Montenegrin stadium that fulfills UEFA standards.

It is a frequent host of Montenegrin national football team, and its debut match against Hungary was played there.

Before the renovation and expansion project began, its capacity was about 7,000 spectators, but when the north and south stands were added, it expanded to 17,000. The pitch has the dimensions of 105 x 70m, and had it's grass completely changed in 2006.

Construction is still in progress. The Eastern stand is also to be built soon, and stadium will then have a capacity of over 20,000.

The north stand is home for FK Budućnost fans, popular Varvari.
