Pmx are a melodic hardcore punk band that hail from the city of Perth in Scotland. Formed in 1998 lead singer/guitarist Chic, lead guitarist Danny, bassist Matt and drummer Colin gigged furiously building up a loyal fanbase in the Scottish punk scene.

After releasing various self financed CDs, 2006 signified a real turning point in their careers, firstly the release of the debut album "Rise And Shine" on three independent labels, Bells on Records of Japan, Canada's Milk And Cookies and the British Allster-Recordings was a huge step forward. Then the end of 2006 featured two of their biggest gigs to date, supporting Propagandhi at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange and after winning the "Ernie Ball international Battle Of The Bands Competition" they secured a slot on the Taste of Chaos Tour Glasgow leg. Winning this competition also provided the band with £10,000 worth of recording equipment [1]. Their follow-up record is due in 2008 and they have been featured on Radio 1's DJ Mike Davies "Tipped for 2007" playlist [2].
