A plugtest is the test on portable electrical equipment to comply with UK health and safety laws. Sometimes referred to as portable appliance testing or PAT Testing. Typical tests include Earth Bond, Insulation, Earth Leakage. Testing should be carried out at regular intervals to ensure continual safety; the period of which depending on both the type of appliance and the environment it is used in.
