Plomelin (Ploveilh in Breton) is a commune in Finistère, Brittany. It lies near the Odet river, about 7 km southwest of Quimper.
Plomelin is twinned with the village of Crymych in Wales.

Inhabitants of Plomelin are called Plomelinois.
As of the census of 1999, the town has a population of 3,938; it had grown considerably in the previous 30 years.
