Plesiopleurodon ('near sided tooth') is an extinct genus of marine reptile. It was a type of small (about 3 m long) pliosaur that lived in the Late Cretaceous (Cenomanian).
[edit] In popular culture
It had a brief cameo in Walking with Dinosaurs, trying to ambush an Ornithocheirus. Although not identified in the show, it was identified on the old website, but mis-spelled as "Plesioliopleurodon".
