[edit] drilling mud

I see blueprints for all sorts equipment for PSVs about every week, but nobody at my company can tell me exactly what drilling mud is. What is this stuff? Aparently it must contain oil because it is illegal to dump overboard and has to be returned to shore for processing. Anyone have a better answer than "nasty goo, possibly containing oil"?--Dj245 01:34, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
