Planet in Focus

Planet in Focus is Canada’s most acclaimed International Environmental Film and Video festival. The festival is based in Toronto, Canada.

The non-profit organization's annual film festival showcases compelling documentaries, animation, dramatic features, shorts, and experimental works that celebrate, question, and establish varied ways of viewing the state of our world.


[edit] 2007 Festival

The 8th Annual Festival is scheduled to take place October 24th - 28th, 2007 across multiple venues located in the downtown Toronto area. Tickets are $10 per person while student admission is $8. A five-day festival pass is $100 while an early bird pass purchased before October 1st is only $80.

This year's festival offers its audiences a "front row to the world" with works drawn from an acclaimed list of respected and renowned international filmmakers. This year's schedule is available on the Planet in Focus website at www.planetinfocus.org

[edit] Year-Round Programming

Planet in Focus also provides a wide array of programming including a Cross-Canada tour. Recently, the organization launched a monthly screening series in Toronto, at the Todmorden Mills Museum, entitled Mixed Greens. All screenings start at 7:00 pm. Each screening is preceded by a surprise Canadian short film.
