PlaceWare

PlaceWare was founded in 1997 as a spin-off from Xerox PARC by Pavel Curtis[1], the founder of LambdaMOO, among others. PlaceWare created the first commercial web conferencing product.
In 2003, Microsoft acquired PlaceWare and renamed its core product Microsoft Office Live Meeting.
