Revista Placar (Portuguese for "Score Magazine") is a Brazilian monthly sports magazine. Its first edition was issued on March 20, 1970, and since then the it has become the most successful sports publication in Brazil, even though it focuses fully on football (soccer). It is published by Grupo Abril.

[edit] Bola de Prata

Bola de Prata is an annual award given by Placar to the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A best players from each position. Each player is given a rating after every match they play. The players with highest average rating from each position are awarded the Bola de Prata. The player with highest average rating overall is awarded the Bola de Ouro.

Every 12 years (1982, 1994 and 2006), Placar call journalists and former players to vote for the best players ever from each position from each of the big Brazilian clubs.

The Brazilian Golden Boot has been awarded to the highest goalscorer in Brazil each season since 2000. The award depends on a weighted system of points, with goals scored in certain competitions being worth more. This way, a goal scored in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A is worth more points than a goal scored in some of the State Championships.

The Fita Azul do Futebol Nacional (Portuguese National Football Blue Ribbon) for It was an award given by Placar to teams that managed to stay a long time unbeaten in international matches.
