[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:VHS Super Collection.PNG
Thanks for uploading Image:VHS Super Collection.PNG. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Depend question
A while back, you asked on Talk:Depend what year the Depend garments were introduced. I went to Kimberly-Clark's website and found that the year was 1980. I have added it to the article. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 21:44, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia Is Not A Forum
Look, the talk section is not a forum. So stop using it like one. I just wanted to let you know in case you don't know, since a lot of your entries in Talk Pages should be asked in a forum. The talk section is for discussing the article, not what it's about. Understand? If not, ask me or someone. I hope you understand, Thank you.--Suit-n-tieWhat Have I Done?! 04:41, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] What is and is not allowed on Wikipedia
You have posted in several places (including your own talk page) that explicit material is not allowed on Wikipedia.
I would ask that you please read WP:NOT in its entirety and refrain from making statements that contradict Wikipedia's own rules on what it is and is not.
If you don't believe that explicit material is allowed on Wikipedia, I'll be happy to provide you with a list of entries that will probably come as quite a shock to you. PacificBoy 21:34, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
Also, please remove your statement that video release posters aren't "allowed" because they're not as important as the general release. I'm not sure where you came up with these rules, but it certainly wasn't on Wikipedia. PacificBoy 21:41, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Uncle Buck
I don't understand what you mean. Are you a native English speaker? I'm not trying to be mean, but I don't follow you. The trivia piece mentioned nothing about being aired on television, or being the only movie where she was underage. If you feel this trivia is worthy of inclusion, please add it back, but be sure to include all necessary details or else it will not make much sense. Thanks for understanding. [edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Sandy Olsson2.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Sandy Olsson2.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:F-Zero SNES Mute City.PNG
| This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:F-Zero SNES Mute City.PNG. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Thank you.

[edit] Removing "no fair use rationale"
Please don't remove tags that indicate images have no fair use rationales without actually adding a fair use rationale. [edit] How Manga is spelled.

[edit] Emma Watson
I have reverted this edit. In addition to forbidding character images to identify their actors, fair-use policy also requires that only a free image may be used to identify the subject of an article. In adding the promotional image, you seemingly missed this comment: <!-- DO NOT add fair-use images to identify living people, new policy requires free use. -->. We need to ask that you read and familiarize yourself with the policy before any more images are added. Thanks. RadioKirk (u|t|c) 05:14, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] VHS
I don't understand your question. Do you mean, how is VHS spelled in katakana? If so, they probably write it in romaji. --Masamage 00:17, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- According to other loanwords I've seen, V is bui, H is ecchi, and S is esu. Nobody would ever write it in katakana, though; Japanese people usually borrow Roman letters for this sort of thing, and VHS is wayyy shorter than ブイエッチエス. Kana would only ever be used to explain the pronunciation to Japanese who are learning English. --Masamage 18:39, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] removing maintenance templates
Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Tiny Kong. The notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of an article, and removing them is considered vandalism. If you oppose the deletion of an article, you may comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Dancter 05:03, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Link and Epona.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Link and Epona.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 01:54, 5 August 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ejfetters 01:54, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:SonicX_Knux.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 19:43, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The Wicker Man
Please do not do cut'n'paste page moves as you did with The Wicker Man. See WP:CUTPASTE. There was no consensus to move the page. Jooler (talk) 23:26, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Lanky Kong Barrel Blast.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Lanky Kong Barrel Blast.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 19:52, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Classic Princess Peach 1985-2001.png
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Classic Princess Peach 1985-2001.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use.
Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. « ₣ullMetal ₣alcon » 01:11, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Jeepers Creepers (2001 film)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Jeepers Creepers (2001 film), and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Jeepers Creepers (film). It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 23:42, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Classic_Princess_Peach_1985-2001.png
I have tagged Image:Classic_Princess_Peach_1985-2001.png as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Some examples can be found at Wikipedia:Use rationale examples. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Non-free. Thank you. Rockfang (talk) 20:54, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Hairspray Link and Tracy in Car.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Hairspray Link and Tracy in Car.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid.
