Pitkyaranta

Pitkyaranta (Russian: Питкяранта, Pitkâranta, Finnish: Pitkäranta) is a town in the Republic of Karelia, Russia. It is located on the north-eastern coast of Lake Ladoga, the biggest lake in Europe. Population of the town is 13,347 (2002 Census). Telephone code is 81433. The town was founded in the 19th century.
