[edit] Album Cover
Anybody know what the heck the album cover is supposed to be?! It's a blurry image of... I have no idea.Underwater 00:41, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
It's a close-up picture of part of somebody's face. IIRC, Courtney Love claimed it was hers, but it hasn't been confirmed. Knight of Ashitaka 20:56, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] The Number of the Beast
I've removed the reference to the number of the beast because I'm not convinced of it's factual accuracy and I think the fact that Pisces is Corgan's starsign has more to do with the word being used as part of the album title than any possible connection with Satan. Knight of Ashitaka
[edit] Songs Not Included
This section was just removed. Any thoughts on whether it should indeed be included? I'll list it here for preservation. -Werideatdusk33 (talk) 16:51, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Songs not included
While Pisces Iscariot is a good starting point for stray tracks from this period of the band's career, The Smashing Pumpkins have always been prolific, and several b-sides and other commercially released songs from this era were not included on this compilation. These are:
- "Apathy's Last Kiss" (Siamese Dream outtake, B-side to "Today")
- "Bye June" (Lull EP) – 2:09
- "Bullet Train to Osaka" (Corgan) (instrumental, B-side to "I Am one") – 4:16
- "Dancing in the Moonlight" (Thin Lizzy) (B-side to "Disarm")
- "Daughter" (seven inch vinyl single from 1992 released in the U.S.)
- "Drown" (from the Singles soundtrack)
- "French Movie Theme" (Corgan) (Siamese Dream outtake, B-side to "Cherub Rock", also appeared on Earphoria)
- "Glynis" (later appeared on the No Alternative compilation)
- "Honeyspider" (B-side to "Tristessa")
- "I Am One" (Corgan, Iha) (the original Sub Pop recording, which differs from the Gish version)
- "My Dahlia" (the first of two songs from the compilation Light into Dark, the first released music by the band)
- "Never Let Me Down" (Martin L. Gore) (Depeche Mode cover, B-side to "Rocket")
- "Not Worth Asking" (Corgan) (B-side to Sub Pop single)
- "Purr Snickety" (B-side to "Cherub Rock")
- "Siamese Dream" (Corgan) (Siamese Dream outtake, B-side to "Disarm")
- "Siva" (Peel EP version) –4:53
- "Slunk" (Lull EP) – 2:49
- "Smiley" (a Peel EP song)
- "Star Spangled Banner" (unlisted, traditional, a drunken karaoke version, B-side to "Cherub Rock")
- "Sun" (the second Light into Dark track)
- "Terrapin" (Syd Barrett) (additional B-side to "I Am One") – 2:54
- "Tristessa" (Sub Pop version)
- I think it's a good list to have, just like the detailed outtakes section for Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, especially since all of the songs on your list were commercially released. Many of them also appeared on Rarities and B-Sides which might deserve a mention. --jh51681 (talk) 07:30, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
- IMHO, this list is irrelevant. Basically, it's a list of things which have nothing to do with the subject of the article! We have no source that suggests that these were ever considered for PI. If we include this list here, there would have to be an even bigger list at Judas 0.
