Piotr Anderszewski

Piotr Anderszewski (born April 4, 1969) is a Polish-Hungarian pianist.

Anderszewski was born in Warsaw, Poland. He began studying the piano at age 6. He attended conservatories in Lyon and Strasbourg, the Academy of Music in Warsaw, and the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

Anderszewski has made a number of recordings with Phillips and Virgin Classics, as well as being featured in a documentary film by Bruno Monsaingeon capturing a performance of Beethoven's Diabelli Variations.
In April 2002 he received the prestigious Gilmore award, given every four years to a pianist of exceptional talent. He has also been a recipient of the Szymanowski Prize (1999) and the Royal Philharmonic Society's Best Instrumentalist award in 2001.[1]
Anderszewski has recorded, principally for the Virgin Classics label, works by Bach, Mozart, Szymanowski and, most recently, Beethoven. [2]
