The polar region of Jupiter by Pioneer 11 showing the knotted nature of the cloud cover. Pioneer 11 is the only probe to pass Jupiter by going nearly over one of its poles rather than an equatorial path. This image has been enhanced, and a small number of missing pixels have been manually cleaned up.
