A tag has been placed on Blast-Ended Skrewt, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Hi. I just want to say that because I do not read Harry Potter, there was no way I could have known that the articles referred to in the two notices above were from that series. The way these articles were written led to believe these creatures were made-up hoaxes. Please do provide sufficient context to avoid future misunderstandings of the same kind. I've declined the speedy deletion of this as it is clearly about a fictional character from Harry Potter. However, for the article to survive, it will need verifiable sources (see WP:V) and it should show real world significance. That is to say, the subject must have a provenance outside of Harry Potter.
