Removed a reference to 1000 billion to 2000 billion eggs being laid by a single female. I assume this is vandalism or confusion... based on other salmonids I left it at 1000 to 2000 eggs, although I don't have a cite for this. CredoFromStart 16:28, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

I removed the sentence regarding acid being released from some sort of groove in the salmon's back, which I do not believe is true. If a citation can be provided, please re-insert it.SlickWilson 00:38, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
