Pinolero is a colloquial term for a Nicaraguan.[1][2].
Pickup trucks manufactured in Nicaragua during the 1970's by INDEVESA are also called pinoleros.
The word derives from pinol, which is toasted and ground corn. Nicaraguan native tribes depended heavily on corn based products.
