Pile turner

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A pile turner is a machine that is used to turn over pallets while still loaded with products. The reasons for needing to turn over a pallet are varied but mainly consist of needing to retrieve a broken or inappropriate pallet without unstacking the whole load. Sometimes a manufacturer simply needs to turn their products to stop their contents settling. Pallet inverters can be built into production lines or be used as a stand alone product. A common application is the need to swap low-quality shipping pallets with high-quality production pallets. For example, food and pharmaceutical companies often need to use stainless steel or plastic pallets in house, which are sanitizable. However, inexpensive pine pallets are preferred for shipping.
