Pilar, Cebu

Pilar is a 5th class municipality in the province of Cebu, Philippines. According to the 2007 census, it has a population of 11,941 people.
It is located in the Camotes Islands, on the island of Ponson.

People in Pilar speaks mainly Cebuano with an accent similar to the locals of Bohol. Like most Filipinos, Pilaranons also speak Tagalog and English.
