Pigtronix is an analog effects pedal designer and producer that was launched in January 2004 under the Portola Valley, CA based company Absara Audio LLC. David Koltai serves as the president and the sales and marketing director, while Brian Bethke serves as the CEO and general manager.
Their first pedal, released in 2004, is the Pigtronix EP-1 Envelope Phaser, which includes an envelope follower and rotary phaser style effect. It also includes an "EF trigger" input that allows an instrument's sound to be phase modulated by an external audio source, or it can serve as an effects loop.
In 2006, Pigtronix announced the OFO Disnortion, a pedal which combines an octave-up effect with parallel overdrive and fuzz sections. 2007 has brought two new designs to the company's lineup, one being a high-end echo/delay pedal called the "Phi Echolution," the other being a polyphonic amplitude controller simply called the "Attack Sustain."
