Piggy Sneed is a character from John Irving’s short story "Trying to Save Piggy Sneed." In the story, Sneed is a garbage collector ridiculed by Irving and his childhood friends, largely because of his stench, pig-like appearance, and mental retardation.
He is killed when his house catches fire.
