I'm removing this section: "Breaking News! Today Pierce was acquitted of all charges. Judge Gregory Hulse stated that the prosecution's misconduct resulted in a violation of Pierce's constitutional rights. Pierce's attorney Alfredo Parrish was very pleased with the Judge's decision. Pierce has since reconciled all diferences with Coach Steve Alford and Athletic Director Bob Bowlsby and will be allowed to regain his position on the University of Iowa Men's Basketball team for the 2005-2006 season."

It's bizarre, to say the least, and most importantly entirely ficticious: [1]. Pierre Pierce is still on trial, nor does what is said here sound like anything but Pierce's fondest (and most unlikely) wishes.

[edit] Uncited text

The court granted Pierce's request for the state to pay part of the cost of his defense. He maintains that his poverty makes state assistance necessary, although his parents are reportedly paying defense attorney Alfredo Parrish upwards of $15,000 in legal fees.

The Iowa Court database doesn't agree with this. The editor didn't provide any news references to supplement this. Please cite sources if you wish to revert. --Ted 03:05, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
