Pieterjan Mattan

Pieterjan Roger Edward Mattan (born 8 September 1988) is a young Belgian designer. He is also an actor and model.

Mattan attended the Minor Seminary of Roulers, Belgium, and went on to study Visual Arts and Art History at St.Lucas College, Ghent, which he left in 2007. Since the age of 18, he has been working with major names in the international design and art industry, and is associated with designer Arne Quinze, for which he also works as personal assistant (2008).

He is active in the field of design, graphic design, art, communication and marketing, and was a key person in the coordination of recent significant design and art projects, such as Cityscape^[1], a 20m tall and 30m wide wooden sculpture by Arne Quinze sponsored by car brand MINI, in the centre of Brussels, Belgium (2007). IdN (International Designers' Network) Magazine^[2] (Hong Kong) listed him among the 11 leading Belgian creatives (April 2008). In 2008, he got commissioned to design a collection for Eastpak USA, a brand of packs, bags, luggage and clothing. The collection is due to be launched by Fall 2009.

As an actor, Mattan will next work on a production for Hugo Boss AG.(2008)

At the moment he is based in both London, England, and Ghent, Belgium.
