Jason 19:40, 11 April 2007 (UTC)PickaguitarJason 19:40, 11 April 2007 (UTC) My name is also Jason Hayes. This is a conflict between Jason Hayes the musician and Jason Hayes the game/audio person.
I'm not sure who I'm talking to or why but unless you, I, they, us or whomever agrees how to settle this...my contacts, myself, fans and company will continue to remove the content from this specific name Jason Hayes. We will need an equal resolution to this issue in a expedient manner. You may contact me by email if you like: info@lykaden.com, thursdaysproductions@mail.com or jason@jasonhayes.com.

- Vandalizing the project is not the way to get what you want. The only thing it is going to get you is blocked from editing the project. So first off, please stop the vandalizing. Stop removing/blanking the existing page. Stop adding nonsense to it. If this continues, you will get blocked. It's as simple as that. Threatening to continue vandalizing is also not a good way to get your way around here.
- That all said, there is a proper way to handle name conflicts, and that is Disambiguation pages. Basically, both people get pages with slightly different titles. (Maybe Jason Hayes (game designer) and Jason Hayes (musician).) Then a disambiguation page is built at the base name to point people to whichever they want to go to. There are, of course, exceptions. One is, when one person is so very well known that it simply makes no sense to move them off of the main name. I doubt an architect named Rod Stewart would ever be notable enough to force a disambigation page at Rod Stewart, for instance. In the current case, this should not be an issue.
- Of bigger concern is the notability of your Jason Hayes. The project has many, many bands and performers added on a daily basis that are simply not notable enough to be on the project. They are quickly deleted. Please check out Wikipedia:Notability (music). If your Jason Hayes does not meet the requirements stated there, then your chances of a page on him remaining on the project for any length of time are quite low. - TexasAndroid 21:05, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

Here are some various real reviews:
What FtWorthMusic.com says "as if the guitar were telling"
"This foursome from Navo, Texas (a small town north of Dallas), has created a unique artistic image for themselves, looking at the world as if through a surreal artist's eyes (and music is art, so these guys are technically artists- and surreal ones, at that!) With a steady beat provided by drummer Isaiah Contreras, each song features unique guitar riffs, as if the guitar were telling the story itself. Melancholy, hip hop rock-style vocals...provided by percussionist Michael Reddee, guitarist Jason Hayes, and bassist Sapo tell the story of four young artists and their view of the world, their lives, and more...."

What FtWorthMusic.com/DallasMusic.com says... "high-energy, well executioned"
"Lykaden's recent show @ Graffiti's Rock Room (5/7/04) was high-energy, well executioned, and, at times, humorous. Guitarist Jason "Heyjay" Hayes splashes color through melodic riff, rhythyms and old school metal soloing. Bassist Joel "Sapo" Clary & drummer Isaiah Contreras are able to hit a solid groove (I found myself bopping my head, however slightly). Therein lies the band's creative edge over other metal drones...the band pushed boundries & favored the experimental over the mundane. The same was true with Rage Against the Machine (which I liked quite a lot, mostly due to the bouncy funk, Tom Morello's guitar playing and Zack de la Rocha's leftist political passion). Queens of the Stone Age are another band that brings a healthy zest to the metal scene. In guitarist Hayes, Lykaden has a treasure of great passion & creativity, evident in his guitar playing & singing. That treasure puts Lykaden over almost any of the tortured Korn wannabe's..."

'Bring The Rock' Compilation CD New Lykaden Release 'She Can Do' "She Can Do!"
Lykaden has teamed up with National Noise, Left Ear Entertainment & Inbred Threads for the release of 'She Can Do'. This is a strong taste of what's to come in the near future on a new album. Some of the other top bands on the CD include Hollow and Mad Mexicans.

What TexasGigs.com says... "I Like-a-dem Lykaden!"
"HooooooWeeeeee do I love this band! These boys are tight and full of energy. Their tunes scream rock-n-roll...the good kind, the way it's meant to sound. The band consists of Jason Hayes on guitar and vocals, Michael Reddee on vocals and percussion, Sapo on bass & Isaiah Contreras on drums. It seems Michael Reddee and Jason Hayes are the brains behind the band's super-terrific-happy-hour songs. Isaiah is one fine drummer, I might add.
This band is worth checkin' out!" Posted by Cindy Chaffin of TexasGigs.com
What FtWorthMusic.com/DallasMusic.com says... Lykaden is a featured band on FtWorthMusic.com "Lykaden has an out-of-this-world guitarist!"
"Lykaden has an out-of-this-world guitarist! He made some pretty amazing sounds come out of his guitar. The band is like experimental mood metal drowned in anger. I loved it!"

What DallasLocalMusicScene.com says... "You're for sure gonna want more Lykaden"
"Five tracks is not enough to do this album justice, Lykaden brings the noise with their new EP. With their hard driven guitars and Sublime style lyrics, expect nothing but a solid album from this Richardson, TX band. Mike Reddee, lead vocals, can spit out lyrics faster than Eminem, but yet maintain a smooth flow over catchy guitar licks. Lead guitarist Jason Hayes must of taken a page from Jimmy Page’s book because his unique style brings a full plate to the table. First track on the album “Wilt” is screaming for airplay on a radio station somewhere in this country. With its reggae style lyrics and loopy guitar sound, “Wilt” will have your head bobbing up and down.
Who let Danzig out on track two “Two Times Removed”? Not that is a bad thing of course!! “Super metal punk funk rap rock alt”, couldn’t describe it any better on “Less Depressed” If you can follow what he’s saying for about five seconds, Frazzl’d will treat you to a ice cream sandwich. Track three is by far one of the fastest songs I’ve ever heard, but who said Lykaden was a pop band….who, huh, what? What was running through my mind when I first put on “Less Depressed”, I thought “Wow, what a great guitar intro, kind of like “Even Flow” by Pearl Jam.”
Just when I thought Lykaden couldn’t pull off a good semi metal punk rap rock alt. Ballad, here steps in the last two tracks on the EP “Figure It Out” and “Day Before Tomorrow”. Remember that ice cream sandwich? Well, Lykaden brought it’s volatile live energy to this album, with it’s catchy, loopy guitar licks and free style flowing lyrics, you're for sure gonna want more Lykaden after this five song tasty treat."

"Completely caught up in the music. Good job!"
"Lykaden, with the crowd ready to go, jumped right on it with the band moving the room...the ride all night was a lot of fun...watching Mike and Jason jam I was completely caught up in the music. Good job! I would like to see Lykaden sometime when I am not at work!!"

[edit] Where to go from here
Ok. I'm not going to read through that info-dump, but glancing at it shows possibility. But I'm not really the one you need to convince. I'm an admin around here, but I'm not a great judge of notability, so I generally stay away from that stuff. I fight vandalism, which is what got me in the middle of this. But I can also try to help be a guide to you to get you on the right path.
Your next step, then, should likely be to work at crafting up your own page. Put it at Jason Hayes (musician) (follow the red link), I would suggest. If you can get a good page written up and have it stand up to the scrutiny of others, then we can talk about building a disambiguation page in the middle. If your page is still here in a week, for instance.
Do be aware. While not a full-fledged policy, WP:COI gives details on why it can be bad for people to write pages about themselves. Such situations often end badly. I'm working with you out of the cautious optomism that this can be an exception, but we shall see.
Anyway, good luck, and good editing. - TexasAndroid 21:29, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Well...it's not so much of an 'info-dump'. I respectfully wrote most of it for you except for the reviews that I included below what I wrote. I will contribute the 'new' page tomorrow so we can get the disambiguation process started. Thanks Jason 21:33, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

- Sorry. No disrespect intended with the term. But as I said, I'm not the one you need to convince. Do read the links I posted. WP:BAND, WP:COI, and especially WP:RS (Which I'm not sure if I gave you before). These will tell you what is expected, and where the hazards are.
- You can try writing out the page and hope for the best. But there is another possibility. You could create the page, at first, in your user space. Write it up here in user-space, then solicit assistance from regular editors to iron out any problems with the page before you try to place it in the article-space. That is one route to possibly avoid it being deleted rapidly once it hits article-space. As an example, you could put it at: User:Pickaguitar/Jason Hayes to start with.
- If you do start off with it in Article-space, be ready for a rough ride. We shall see. - TexasAndroid 20:11, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] User:Pickaguitar/Jason Hayes
Are you ready for assistance with the working page? I can make formatting edits, and I can ask for review from someone with a better judgement of notability than myself. One thing I do notice that will likely be an issue. All you provide as links are your own pages, and band pages. Those are really not going to suffice for meeting the notability requirements. You will really need some sort of independent, 3rd party reference if you want the page to be more than a vanity page and survive on the project. What magazines have written about you? Also, you listed a number of things for your notability on your talk page. Which of them can you provide independent confirmation for? Any of that would go a long way toward establishing your notability. - TexasAndroid 19:01, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
