Phulpoto is one of the populous tribes of the central and upper part of Sindh province of Pakistan (actual origin is not traced). The tribe's current Sardar (Leader) is Sardar Imtiaz Hussain Phulpoto. The population of the tribe is mainly settled in the districts of Khairpur and Larkana.
People's livelihood is based on agricultural Income and some of them are also most educated and settled abroad. Late. Ghulam Nabi Phulpoto,Pir Bux Phulpoto, Abdul Hameed Phulpoto, Nawaz Ali Phulpoto, Ghulam Bashir Phulpoto, Ghulam Shabir Phulpoto and Waqar Ahmed Phulpoto are considered well qualified persons within the community. The Phulpoto community is currently getting popular in various fields such as farming, politics, education, NGO's etc. Community is playing a very important role in local areas especially for fields of farming and politics. Within community, Ijaz Ahmed Phulpoto is a very famous agriculturist cum Industrialist who owns famous Mango farms through Sindh province and currently establishing one of the huge Sugar Mills Projects in upper part of sindh. Moreover, among Phulpoto Tribe Tahir imtiaz Phulpoto is the current Taluka City Nazim of Khaipur district.
