[edit] Rumblefish credit

Could someone with access to the CD soundtrack (or a DVD) of Rumble Fish please check the writing credits in the liner notes? On the CD front cover (amazon.com photo) it says "composed, performed, and produced by Stewart Copeland". If that doesn't check out, the article should be updated and the other claims also need to be verified. Thanks. Phr (talk) 07:56, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Notability for Rudy Colombini / Music City SF / San Francisco Rock and Roll Hall of Fame / Unauthorized Rolling Stones

This article and the articles for Music City SF and San Francisco Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are tagged for deletion due to the belief that they are non-notable vanity pages. Please leave any discussion for those pages here. - Zepheus 05:07, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

  • Note: I went to 1353 Bush St. / San Francisco, CA (the future site of Music City SF), and found out that it's an apartment building. It has rooms available for rent. I know people are living there, because as I was peering in at the "No Trespassing" sign, a tenant walked out, looking at me. This Music City is not going to be here any time soon at all. Music City is the brainchild of noted musician Rudy Colombini. Rennovations of the former hotel began in 2004 and are near completion (expected in 2007). The plan is to create a rock ‘n' roll Mecca at 1355 Bush St.,San Francisco, which will include a live music café, recording studio, rehearsal space and the San Francisco Bay Area Rock Hall of Fame.

Singer-songwriter Rudy Colombini has had two songs reach #30 and #46 nationwide on the adult contemporary radio charts. He has been featured on Universal and EMI labels, and collaborated with Copeland for the soundtrack of Francis Ford Coppola's film Rumble Fish. The title song on his CD, Message of Love, received critical acclaim and set a record of 2500 mp3 downloads in 24 hours. Rudy has toured with the Beach Boys, the English Beat and Marshall Cranshaw.

His apparent likeness to Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger, Rudy was asked to perform in a tribute band at a friend's party and the group took off as "The Unauthorized Rolling Stones," playing at nightclubs and top music venues all over the San Francisco Bay Area.

Rudy Colombini was born and raised in the Italian neighborhood of North Beach in San Francisco, the City’s artistic epicenter made famous by musicians, poets of the beat generation in the 1950’s and 60’s.
