Phoua Yang

Phoua Yang was named Soldier of the Year three times - the most for a female officer. She is the first Hmong woman to become a 1st Lt. officer in the United States Army, under the age of (21) twenty one. Graduating from her California High School early and at the top of her class with a grade point average of 4.88 with all AP courses, she received a full scholarship from three different Universities. But she attended West Point at the age of seventeen. She graduated in 2003 and named Soldier of the Year three times .
