Phoenix School

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Phoenix School is a comprehensive secondary school in Dawley, Telford, UK with approximately 850 students on roll. The school was at one point in special measures, but standards have improved to the point where it recently gained a 'good' ofsted report. However, GCSE A*-C rates are below the national average. Its name comes from idea that it 'rose from the ashes' of its predecessor, Dawley Secondary Modern, parts of which burnt down in a fire. Its current head master is Mr. Neil Stonehouse
