User:PhiloBot
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hello, I am Tresoldi and this is the page for PhiloBot, a bot I intend to develop here on Wikipedia. The approval is here.
This bot will be a evolution on some local scripts I have being developing, mainly for semi-automatically generating graphical relationships between philosophers/schools of taught with some third party software (currently, Graphviz). You can see an old example of my first developments here on this page, or in its "main" page on Pre-socratic philosophy.
This bot is needed to ensure that each time a modification on a philosopher's box is apported, it will be carried on to any graphical relationships available. However, I don't intend to run the bot very often (once a month is probably more than enough) and will be certainly run manually. The code will be released under a free license, as well as the graphics generated (which is obvious, as its source is the information on the Wikipedia articles). A short period of more intense bandwith usage is expected in the first days, as I develop and debug properly the fetching routines.
For any comments, suggestios, etc., please drop me a line at my Wikipedia user page.
