Talk:Philosophy of futility

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is pretty interesting. A few more thinkers could possibly be added here without too much stretching.

A lot of phenomenologists (like Merleau-Ponty, Levinas) talk about exhaustion. As for the futility of life and existence of course we can talk about Sartre, Camus, Kierkegaard, all of whom have this sort of melancholy tone despite their radical innovation. This article may also benefit from comparison to another strain -- a sort of anti-nihilist strain -- to which Nietzsche, Deleuze, among others, belong.

Sorry, it's now much clearer to me that this page was intended to be a narrower discussion of this one guy's idea.
