Talk:Philopatry
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
As far as I know philopatry means something very different: young stay in the territory of their parents ...
That's just one of the possible uses. According to 'Henderson's dictionary of biological terms', 12th Ed., it's: tendency of an organism to stay in or return to its home area. Staying at the parental territory can also be beacause of delayed dispersal, thus not necessarily remaining in the natal territory forever.Philopatric floater (talk) 09:29, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
