[edit] future generals

"Through these halls pass the future generals of the AFP."

Does anyone know where the above inscription is located? Does anyone have a description? I remember seeing this when I visited.--Jondel 00:58, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Future generals

Hi Jondel,

The quote you are speaking of can be found in the entrance of Melchor Hall of the PMA.

Thanks! :) --Chewygum 7:21, 05 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Other Requirments

Someone should put in that 20/20 vission is required. I passed the physical and mental evaluation but didnt get accepted because I was shortsighted. I thought I would be allowed to undergo LASIK surgery after the examination but it turns out that you should be PERFECT when you arrive at V-Luna during the physical exmination. I am O-08-*** of batch 2006. One of the two only Semi-kalbo "wannabe-Boks" in the group —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 124.106.178.175 (talk) 14:46, 17 March 2007 (UTC).

[edit] what if...

what if i didn't reach the requirement of 85% of general average but im a college student now. can i already take the PMAEE? thank you!

- You can use your College cummulative GPA to enter. If 4 is the highest and 0 is the lowest grade... they will accept a 2.0 average. Ask the recruiting office to be sure. Again, just a suggestion, go to doctor to make sure you are ONE HUNDERED PERCENT perfect. Meaning no "Almuranans", ear infections,FLAT FEET (one of my fellow applicants) and freakin perfect vision (halatang ito ung nagpabagsak sa akin). Also dont reach for the "minimum requirements" in the physical tests. Try to reach for less than 7 min in the run, 10+ pull ups, 40+ push ups and 40+ sit ups... Good luck boi

[edit] what if... (part 2)

ahh wat do u mean sa College cummulative GPA? is it ok if im not reach the 85%? do you already try it?

- My Highschool average was 83 pointsomething. Its okay if you use your College cummulative GPA grade, just present a transcript. If its the 4 point system where 4.0 is the highest, 0.0 being the lowest and failing, you will need a 2.0 to try the exam. DOUBLE CHECK with the OCA first just to extremely sure. I made it all the way to the physical examination, was told that I was on the upper 50% of all the applicants but didnt pass cuz I need glasses to have 20/20 vission. For the exam, review your abstract reasoning and english cuz kinda mahirap sila but the science and math were your basic highschool stuff.

[edit] whew!

mhrap bah trainng sa academy? any opinion please..,

Ang paghihirap ay isang challenge na nagpapalakas din sayo dahil sa kabila ng hirap ay may kaginhawaang nag-aantay para sa iyo, hardwork, indomitable spirit, prayers, discipline, good attitude.... try to have all of this for you to survive in PMA. May mga babae sa PMA din at marami at nakakaya nila ang hirap.. kung lalake ka ay advantage mo na yun. Kung ano ang kaya ng babae ay kaya mo din na lalake... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.248.16.2 (talk) 08:46, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Coat of Arms

It would be nice if there was a coat of arms with permission for copyright purposes.I will try to get it if there is time.--Jondel 04:13, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

Get copies of both logos (the shield on the Fort Del Pilar gate and the official logo) and please try to include an infobox or something. check out the pages of other military schools to see how it is done. thanks. Eaglestorm (talk) 03:54, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WP style guidelines re Emphasis

This article needs to be edited to bring it into line with WP style guidelines; particularly:

WP:MOS:

Emphasis
Italics are used sparingly to emphasize words in sentences (bolding is normally not used at all for this purpose). Generally, the more highlighting in an article, the less the effect of each instance.

WP:MOSBOLD:
Use italics, not boldface, for emphasis in article text. Use boldface in the remainder of the article only for a few special uses:

  • Table headers
  • Definition lists (example: David E. Kelley)
  • Volume numbers of journal articles, in some bibliographic formats
  • Sub-topic redirects (where a sub-topic is a redirect to substantive discussion in a main article), the sub-topic should be boldfaced on first appearance in the target article or section, to indicate that it is an alternate title or sub-title

I'd boldly fix that myself, but I don't have time to spend on that just now. -- Boracay Bill (talk) 04:51, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
