[edit] PBA history

why not add a section about the history of PBA? -Danngarcia 16:23, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

we need sources. --Howard the Duck 07:21, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
I finally found a reliable source for the first part of this article! Recently, I found a June 4, 1975 edition of Ginoo Magazine, featuring Gloria Diaz as the cover girl... There's an article there entitled "Which Way Will Pro Basketball in RP Go?" which discusses the formation of the PBA. I'm currently working out an article on my sandbox... -Danngarcia 19:03, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Coaches navboxes

In the tradition of {{MavericksCoach}} I bring to you the following: {{ExpressCoach}}, {{AcesCoach}}, {{GinebraCoach}}, {{CokeTigersCoach}}, {{TJGiantsCoach}}, {{BeermenCoach}}, {{RealtorsCoach}}, {{PhonePalsCoach}}, {{PopColaCoach}}.

I haven't made Red Bull and Welcoat since they only have 1 head coach in their history. Additions, completions and other navboxes for other teams (especially the defunct ones) are welcome. --Howard the Duck 14:10, 17 August 2007 (UTC) ∞

[edit] Jun Bernardino Trophy article?

Is it possible that we can create an article about this trophy? -Danngarcia 17:11, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

The PBA Philippine Cup? --Howard the Duck 06:14, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Yup, but not about the tournament, but about the trophy itself. -Danngarcia 16:03, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
What are they calling it? The Jun Bernardino Trophy? It can be a DYK if is sufficiently expanded. --Howard the Duck 15:13, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
According to this article, the Philippine Cup (previously known as the Perpetual Trophy) will be named after Commissioner Bernandino. However it is still unknown if the trophy will be named as such. I'll try to find more sources for this info. -Danngarcia 12:41, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
Perhaps they'll give the exact name once the tourney starts. --Howard the Duck 11:39, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

During the opening ceremonies last Sunday, OIC Commissioner Sonny Barrios called the trophy as "Emilio Bernardino Trophy". Should we name it as such? "Emilio Bernardino" may refer to another person since he is a "junior". This may be off topic but there is another PBA trophy named after a league executive. "The Leo" (the trophy given away during the Annual Awards since 2003) was named after Commissioner Leo Prieto. Should we create an article for this? -Danngarcia 17:13, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

Yeah articles can be created for these trophies. --Howard the Duck 12:54, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sources

Currently the only sources on this article seem to be to the Association's own website. Can we please find some other reliable sources that can be used for verification? If this is a major association, surely there are some newspaper/magazine articles which can be cited? --Elonka 04:48, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
