[edit] Copyright and notables
Please remember to keep wikipedia free from bias and keep all articles Non Point Of View (NPOV). Copying and pasting from Phi Mu's philanthropy page does not cut it. If you want to add a section on the wiki page about the philanthropy of Phi Mu write it in your own words and add it. Also, as for notable alumnae, please add only those who have a wikipedia page. It looks horrible with all that red. For example, 'If your notables are so notable why don't they have a wiki page.' Either create a page for them, or leave them off. Please remember the notables is a suggestion only in regards to the layout of the phi mu wiki page. The Copyright warning is valid so please don't do it. --ImmortalGoddezz 19:27, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Phimuquatrafoil.jpg
Image:Phimuquatrafoil.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:10, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] History, Symbols, and Creed
Added separate sections on History, Symbols, and Creed. Feel free to expand. Also added Creed, as it is public information and not confidential ritual. Antimonyfunk (talk) 20:02, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- The creed does need to be sourced, however; unless a reliable source is provided, it is subject to deletion for not being verifiable. —C.Fred (talk) 22:40, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
Oof, bigger problem. The website asserts copyright over the creed. Is there a strong reason why the entire creed needs to be in the article? Otherwise, it needs to come out for invalid use of non-free material. —C.Fred (talk) 00:46, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
Well, I added it for two reasons - it outlines the purposes and ideals of the Fraternity, which I figured would be a good thing to put in an article about the Fraternity. Another reason was that I was trying to write the article to the standard for Fraternity and Sorority articles - and most have the organizations creed/symphony/mission statement/what have you.
