Philip Ramos

Philip Ramos represents the 6th District of the New York State Assembly, which includes Brentwood, New York, Bay Shore and Islip, among other communities located on Long Island.

Elected to a newly created district in 2002, Ramos previously served with the Suffolk County, New York Police Department, where he worked as a narcotics officer and detective for several years before being elected to the Assembly.

Ramos narrowly defeated attorney Phil Goglas.
