Pharis Aboobaker became a controversial figure in Kerala as it is revealed that he is a very close assocoiate of Pinarayi Vijayan, General secretary of state committee of Caommunist Party of India (Marxist) CPM. Since Pharis Aboobaker took over the control of the oldest malayalam daily Deepika, the newspaper focused on the propaganda against Achudanathan , Chief Minister of Kerala and CPM leader but a factional opposit of Pinarayi Vijayan. It is well known that as there is no relation between the veteran Marxist Leader and a Businessna, the man behind Pharis should be Pinarayi only. The recent interview of Pharis in Karali TV has cemented the belief that there is nexus between Pinarayi and Pharis. In addition to that the frequest visit of the Marxist leader to Chennai is always controversial.
