[edit] Popular culture

The statement "The book Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance uses the name Phaedrus as a pseudonym for both an unnamed philosopher and the author himself. The original man is also briefly mentioned by way of explanation." is a misunderstanding. Pirsig makes it clear that he is referring to Phaedrus (Plato). --Dan 15:14, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thracian?

I've read that Phaedrus was a Thracian slave, what is the consensus?
