Pharmexcil is the authorised agency of the govt of India for promotion of Pharmaceutical exports from India. It is also called as Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council. It is set up by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry ,Government of India in May 2004. It is set up under the provisions of Foreign Trade Policy. Various Pharmaceutical Products ,namely, bulk drugs, formulations ,Biotech Products ,Indian Systems of medicines, herbal products,diagnostics,clinical research, etc. are covered under its purview. Pharmexcil takes up several extrnal trade promotion activities by organising trade delegations outside India, arranging buyer-seller meetings, international seminars, etc. Its website is http://www.pharmexcil.com.
