Does anyone know if competing in this event is made compulsory by some sort of severe sanction for not doing so? The prize money is really rather low in the context of what some of these guys earn, but they all turn up. It's also less than other off season events like the Target World Challenge and the Nedbank Golf Challenge. If I made as much as Woods or Mickelson and someone asked me to fly half way round the world during a brief off season for the chance to win the comparatively trifling sum of $400,000 I don't think I'd take them up on it. Answering your question over 2 years later, lol. It is played in beautiful locations and it is probably fun for the players to play together in a tournament that is more laid back than a regular event. I am sure you can decline your invitation but most of the guys probably want to play in it. michfan2123 14:47, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
