Map is from the Marian Bukhari Collection of Antique Maps of Arabia, Saudi Arabia.
Map is by Giacomo Gastaldi, 1548, Italy. Cartographic historian Gerald Tibbetts calls this map the first "modern" map of the Arabian peninsula.
For verification purposes, map can also be found featured on Saudi Aramco World magazine Jan/Feb 2004 edition: Maping Arabia, Written by James V. Parry.
