[edit] 1990

We were both partly correct and incorrect in our edits. I "patrol" some of the year articles and do lots of reverting. I saw someone move the bottom of the article, principally the language links and didn't notice the toc, to the top so reverted. I've moved the toc after the lead and the language links/category back to the bottom. Thanks. --TM 23:28, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, my main reason for patrolling the year articles is that that is where most of the vanity shows up. With placement of the TOC I've seen it two ways, I think almost equally: after the initial lead (basically the first paragraph/sentence) (ex. 1999) and right before the events header (ex. 2000). Personally I think they should go before the first header since that's traditionally where they go in other articles, but since I haven't seen consensus in year articles I'm not sure. --TM 20:16, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
