[edit] Sydney Suburb Skeletons
Hi Peter Good to see someone else using their real name as their wikiname... ;) I just saw what you left on Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject Sydney/Suburbs#Suburb Skeleton. Why did I not see that in December 05??? I think the hidden tag would work a treat for the sections you don't have enough info on, just leave a link to say usertalk:peterjeremy/sydneysuburbskeletons where newbies can work out why their page is blank... ;) --Garrie 03:28, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Hi Peter, I did a fair whack of Frenchs Forest entry. Nice to see the Forestville entry progressing. Why not merge what you've got so far with the main entry. It looks great. DJGB 07:26, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Discussion note added to Zener Diodes
Hi Peter,
I added a note to the discussion of zener diode behavior at low currents concerning the maximum output voltage. I'm curious to know your thoughts, as I reached the opposite conclusion from you. I don't have a Wikipedia account so perhaps you might reply there.

[edit] Suburb skeleton again
hey there Peter. I am using your skeleton here and here and working on another in my sandbox.
In your Residents section you have some text "See chart for a breakdown of ancestry". Have you got some clever way of getting charts out of the ABS data that are clear and uploadable?
I have access to Visio, Excel, Publisher, and whatever you might want me to use at home as long as it's free (GIMP?) I guess this is where I need to work out what makes a scalable drawing, I only know how to get Visio to save jpgs which would look crap unless looked at at the same resolution I am making them at. Thanks,Garrie 00:07, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] G'day
G'day esteemed person who has expressed interest in Sydney based meetups at this page (I hope that's the correct wording for the formal greeting!!). You may have heard that Australia is to have its very own 'chapter' of the Wikimedia Foundation - and further, there's a meeting coming up to discuss / enact the chapter's incorporation (details here). I'm afraid that I don't know too much about the details of what this entails, other than having a private hope that we might get a secret handshake, and maybe cheap coffee at wikimania (this is a poor attempt at humour - I'm sure that the Chapter's do great work, and it's a good thing that Australia is to have one).
If you're interested in meeting up this weekend (the set date is the 20th) - or later, then please do head over here and sign up, or make a comment at the talk page... the drive to create the chapter has largely come from another town in Australia that I'm afraid I haven't actually heard much about.. and anything they can do.... right? - cheers, Privatemusings (talk) 11:11, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Drinks and a wiki chat?
G'day sydneysider - fancy a 'not quite a meetup but a few drinks' sort of thing? - We can chat about the new aussie chapter, the price of eggs and have our very own 2020 Wiki Summit! - or just sink a couple of cold ones and gass bag about the good 'ol days of wiki, when an editor could get some repsect (not a typo)! I've suggested something here so take a look and sign up if you're up for it... cheers, Privatemusings (talk) 02:28, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
